on my desktop :: magnet works

Oh my gosh you guys!! I was crazy sick last week and under an even crazier deadline. Usually I hold up pretty well against the germs that my daughter tends to bring home, but this one hit me like a ton of bricks. I winded up with bronchitis :( You should of seen me in my pj coughing away just trying to finish up and get a huge batch of files out the door. I was so worn down that I didn’t have it in me to post even one little thing.

…Well this isn’t little news at all. It’s a bit BIGGER and way more exciting then that!!! Check out some of these product images that I have sitting on my desktop :)

I’m SUPER excited to be working with Sue and Anne over at Magnet Works !! I just love Anne, and getting to know Sue has been a pleasure. These ladies are AWESOME to work with.

It feels wonderful to be working with good people at a good company!! :)

Don’t they look great?! And, these are only SOME of the products that will be featuring my Art!!

The ones you see here will be available to retailers in the Fall/Winter 2012 Early Buy catalog, and to the general public in July!!

Not to worry I’ll be sure to keep you posted on where you can get your hands on these babies :)

Featured in this month’s On The Surface

I’m always amazed and pleasantly surprised when someone emails me about something I’ve written here on my blog. I forget sometimes that people are actually reading. I honestly try not to think about it too much, because it can be a bit paralyzing if I do. I don’t want to censor and edit myself because I’m worried about what folks will think. That would just defeat the purpose, hence always being surprised when someone actually contacts me.

I was delighted when Rose asked if she could have permission to quote my blog post about re-upping for SURTEX ’12 in this months On The Surface. Of course I said YES!! I’m super excited to be featured and always amazed with the reach my blog has provided. This is truly a remarkable journey and I am glad I’m able to share it with you.

Featured on Print & Pattern!! :-)

How excited was I when I received this tweet from the lovely Jess Swift yesterday. This is exactly why I luv twitter!! I had no idea I was featured on Print & Pattern till Jess mentioned it. So AWESOME!! And I just happen to be rooming with her and Khristian Howell who was also featured! I’m totally looking forward to hangin’ with these ladies. We are going to have such a good time!! :-)

a little press never hurt ;)

A little press never hurts, especially right before a big show!! I’m over the moon that I received so many write-ups!! Both in art & design LICENSING and TOTAL Art Licensing. Hopefully this is a really good sign of what’s to come in the next few days years.

Things are really starting to pick up momentum and I’m looking forward to keeping pace and not getting post-event depression. It’s been known to sneak up on me.(I got it really bad after my wedding.) I was chatting with a friend a few weeks ago, who use to do event planning, and she said that it was pretty common in her industry. It’s a good thing that I’ve been keeping a running list of things to do post show. And let’s just say it’s a pretty long list.
