Now to figure out how to ship this and get it to the post office and in the mail for her so she can enjoy it this holiday season!! And if you want to pick up one of your own you can get them here! And the matching flag here.
It feels good to give! And having the chance to give to such a great organization like the Make a Wish Foundation during the holiday season feels really good!!
This donation was generously made by all of the folks that registered and are participating in this year’s Blu Penny HandMade Holiday Ornament Exchange! We definitely have a stellar group of folks crafting it up this year :)
I hope that we may all take part in making some child’s wish come true this holiday season!!
I’ve been super busy making ornaments over here…well that and figuring out how to also document it on video! I love learning new things :)
I can’t believe that there are only 2 more weeks left to register for the Ornament Exchange!! I think it’s gonna be a good one. We have some serious Savvy Crafters already signed up this year.
I’m so excited that I’ve already started playing the holiday music and I decided to get an early head start on making some ornaments!!
Do you wan to take a look and see how I made this cute fairy ornament. 4 hours worth of crafting goodness sped up to make this sweet little 3 minute video :) Ah…the magic of making movies. HA! This was my first time video documenting my process. I’m a total iMovie novice, but you can bet I’ll be doing more of this again soon!
Collecting and making handmade ornaments is definitely one of my favorite things to do during the Holiday Season. So take out your glue guns, sparkle, ribbons and whatever do-dads you have laying around the house for the 5th Annual Blu Penny’s Holiday Handmade Ornament Exchange.
For all you veterans this should be a no brainer and for you newbie’s here is a little video I made last year explaining how the exchange works.
The Ornament Exchange will be hosted on a PRIVATE Blu Penny Forum, exclusive for Ornament Makers only. The registration fee to participate is $12.00 and from every registration $2.00 will go to the Make a Wish Foundation.
You’ll have until midnight on Friday, November 23rd to sign up. All the DETAILS you need to know are HERE.
The first 20 people to register will get a chance to win my Winter Wishes Doormat from Magnet Works! Won’t this look great in your entryway this holiday season!!! :)
Some inspiration for all you Ornament Makers!! I asked my sweet and very talented friend Brooke if she could come up with a DIY how-to that I could share. AND how cute is this!!! Some lucky Exchangers are going to wind up with one of these. :-)
BK: I have a deep love of all things fingerprint art. Hence my little Rudolph. The other side is chalkboard paint so that you can write your own personalized message each year! Hope you like it.
Totally adorable, right!? If you want to keep up with all of Brooke’s creative adventures check out her blog Pure and Noble. It’s one of my weekly must reads :-)
Well, it only took me a handful of tries, but I did it!! Here is my first Videopodcast EVER!!
I’ve been getting a lot of question about how the ornament exchange works. So I thought that a video would be the best way for me to explain all of the details. Besides making a video is one of my goals , so I was able to accomplish two things at once! YAY for multitasking:)
Hopefully this will explain the details a bit more for those of you that were on the fence. I hope you’ll consider joining me in making some ornaments this year!
You have until midnight on Friday, November 25th to sign up.
DON’T over think it. It’s suppose to be fun! There’s no reason to stress :) You’ll only need to commit to making 3 ornaments, and you’ll get 3 AWESOME ornaments in return. And remember sometime the simplest ones are the most beautiful!!
So head on over and sign up before it fills up!
You’ll have until midnight on Friday, November 25th to sign up or until the group maxes out. Whichever comes first.
This time of year always seems to speed up and zip on by. Sometimes it’s nice to have a project or two to slow you down so you can appreciate the now.
Over the next few weeks leading up to The Exchange I’ve pulled together, with the help of my intern Denyss, a few D.I.Y. how-to ornament tutorials. It’s a bit of inspiration to help get those creative juices flowing, and inspire those of you that are on the fence or aren’t quite sure what to make.
I mean, who doesn’t love getting brown paper packages tied up with string in the mail!? It sure beats the usual assortment of bills and credit card offers that arrive on a daily basis. So, all you artistic and crafty folks, break out those supplies and eggnog :-) Join in the crafty goodness and join me in this years HandMade Holiday Ornament Exchange !!
Don’t be left out in the Cold, join in!
You’ll have until midnight on Friday, November 25th to sign up.
