whispering magic words

Wow, January has certainly zoomed by quickly. I wish I was still enjoying my holiday break camped out by the fire sipping hot coco and thinking of my word of the year. However I’m not really one to sit still, so between warming up my feet by the fire and sipping coco, I took on the task of figure out how to migrate all of my art galleries over to a Blu Penny client area that is now password protected. And I have to say that I was pretty proud of myself for figuring out how to do it.

I’ve been thinking about making my galleries secure for quite a while. And to be honest, I waffled quite a bit on whether or not this was the right decision for me. When I was an Art Director, I can remember what a pain in the bum it was to have to have to remember all of those passwords and user names for all of the artist and rep sites that I visited on a daily basis. So making it easy for clients to view my work was definitely a real concern.

I’m also a big believer that if you hold on to things too tightly they will become stale and stagnant, and that you need to let your positive energy and work flow. I think it’s important to put your work out there in the world for people to see, but you also need to be smart about it. (I should perhaps tell you that my viewpoint is heavily influenced from reading The Soul of Money.)

In the spirit of keeping the positive energy and work flowing, I’m sharing with you a little preview of the newest collection that I’m working on called “Whispering Magic Words”.

So, as you can see while I’m working on growing, I’m also being brave, embracing the crazy and of course dreaming big!!

  1. Love the new work! I struggle with what I should be showing. Right now, I am putting it all out there, but I need to start holding some of it back.
